Anybody remember the Porsche hands on driving experience? I don't know if they still do it, last invite I got was early 90's I think, and it was a full half day driving class that evolved out of the "ride and drive" many brands use to train salespeople on new vehicles and how to sell and compare them to the competition. Porsche supplied a variety of cars and it was always something of a scramble for the stick vs automatic, but the standard bet with the instructors was a steak dinner for anybody that could beat one of them in a stick with them in the automatic.
Please help straighten out my poor mind, perhaps permanently bent from driving an 81 automatic that just wasn't too much fun off the line.
*** note *** clearly remember one year where the autoX course was more like a 911 stalling contest. EVERYBODY stalled the 911 at least once. I sure kept the cone resetters busy that day.
