Default 86 S with manual transmission FS-price question

This car popped up near me. Sounds like a good deal. Waiting to hear back from owner as to TB/WP replacement. Says has all records and is clean. Is price fair if maintenance is up to date?

Fair price is always a wild guess, only slightly less after a PPI, but if its a car you like and you can afford it, why twiddle about fair?

If you are talking to the actual owner, and they have had the car more than a few years, chances are VERY good their price is out of touch either high or low. They remember what they paid, and maybe have looked at some asking prices or typically the NADA or KBB, where retail is overpriced and wholesale is underpriced for a nice car.

86 5 spd, check the vin for 86.5, how many miles and see what a PPI and carfax look like.

BTW you didn't mention a price or miles.

PM me with the sellers ph number and I could check for you.

Or is it the "racing" white 86.5 in newport beach that doesn't know its a 86.5 yet? Seemed a bit pricey all things considered to me.

Nope, not the Newport car. This one caught my eye because it is within a mile or two of me and because it is suppose to be very clean inside and out. 159k miles though. If it has been cared for might be worth the money. Kind of been wanting a car to play with. This might be too nice to mess with.
