dash and pod are all cracked - ding in passenger fender - paint resprayed in places with spray can. Drivers fog/turn light assembly pushed back. Passenger's is OK. Wheels peeling.

lots of sun damage - interior in very bad shape

electricals are intermittant (pass window, gauge gear indicator), rear hatch doesn't work, drivers seat doesn't move forward.

will need shocks as car 'wallows' down the road

Wait til the ebay crash and burn and then talk to the guy directly. (assuming by bidder 1 and 2 at it again means phoney bidders) Seems like lately as many as a 1/3 of 928 auctions have packs of zero feedback flakes. Scammers also target older high dollar cars because the owners often have unrealistic expectations and are ripe for silly suggestions.

I was seriously going to buy this car, I spoke with the seller many times but after Troy's assessment on my behalf (thanks again buddy!!), I am going to politely decline. Looks like a money pit and a car that has been neglected. I am not interested in throwing good money after bad.

Yasin,
Good decision - there are much better cars out there for $3.5k
I'll wait for the dust to settle and make a more realistic offer.

On low end cars, cars without good picts and descriptions, ebay just muddies the water. Auctions that good bidders avoid are scammer magnets. I've seen auctions where the top five bidders are all 0 feedback joined in the last week, and if you click on the bids link there is a view link for each bidder showing recent bidding activity, some had 21 different Porsche and Mercedes they were bidding on.

When I was looking for a 928, there were 4 other guys that were always bidding on the same ones that I was. It got to be entertaining because the 5 of us were all looking for the 'perfect' car. Most of those guys were 0-5 feedback types also and guess what, now all 5 of us have 928's.

Just because some have low feed back does not make them flakes, it could just mean they are as picky as I (and a few others) was.
