Thanks for the pics. If it was a stick I'd be all over it. Good to see local folks with passion for cars like these. I had an 89 S4 auto. Sold it. 2 Miatas later and I still need my Porsche fix.

The original color is blue of some sort. The PO had it painted silver, and it looked like a *cringe* Maaco job. My friend and I painted it gray as a temporary fix to the badly faded, peeling, and cracking silver. We used gray since its close to silver, and its not metallic, so it looks okay. It looks okay from about 5 feet. Definitely not a show car. We sanded it real good and smoothed it out as best as we could.

Is it gloss grey or primer grey?

Either way, the womens in Kasahstan would dig it. Providing it had door panels installed, of course...

Best of luck in finding a good home for it!

We are just trying to prevent you from going towards the light (side). We all want to purchase it but won't in fear of helping you make a huge mistake

IMHO

I can feel that. I do not see this a huge mistake. I am only 21. I will not be sharkless forever. It's going up on ebay tonight, so I think it will sell there. I would rather sell it to a rennlister instead, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

As a former Chi-town (and still very near) resident, I have to enquire about the housing situation. You need to sell the car to get some cash, but you live in Lincoln Park?

I am a college student, I live in a 2-bedroom apt that I got for a steal at $750/month. I live there with my GF and her sister. I work full time and go to school full time. My GF and I make enough to support ourselves, is that odd? I don't think so.

I really appreciate the concern, but you cannot convince me not to sell the car. I'm sorry. It needs to go.
