Unfortunately until your old enough to drive, it will have to do. In the meantime, keep it quiet back there. Those of us up front dont want to be bothered by backseat drivers. ZEUS

Unless you cut legs off, you'd better give up the idea of carrying people in the backseat of a 928. It was engineered for groceries, guns, small chickens, n'stuff like that. My Audi TT has a warning label that clearly states that NO ONE taller than 4'7" may sit in the back seat because closing the hatch on them would break their necks. I did haul a potential son in law back there once (6'3") and drove like a maniac around Seattle for half a day..and he promptly dumped her. So..the seat DOES have utility! But, please carry barf bags in the car. I get mine off the airlines.

Yes...sign up for Rennlist. Where else would you get practical information like this?

Heh! Those back seats-

Some people here have removed them, or installed speakers. Good ideas, but not for me, I like the abilty to take four adults on short trips in the car if I need.

A couple of years ago, I took my neighbor to the store to buy barbecue meat, and he put his boys [one 8, the other 10 years old] back there and they fit perfectly. They were amazed- the seats were a perfect fit for them. It occurs to me that if your kids are KIDS...then the 928 makes a decent family car, especially considering the huge trunk. And there is a safety factor too- not only is the 928 built like a Soviet main battle tank ["Just add mass"], but in a catastrophic front end collision, your backseaters are going to hit the front seats only- they aren't going to go sailing through the windshield if they don't have their seat belts on [typical with kids].

-I have actually ridden in the backseat of my 928. I let a friend drive it one day while I sat back there, Just to see what it was like, and though I wouldn't want to do it for any long distance [and I have a 30 inch waist...], I didn't find it uncomfortable at all for the 15 minutes I was back there.

N!

Buy a second 928, cut the two in half and weld the two together, then you'll have room for 4 adults and 4 children. The friggen brady family! Wooooo Hoooooo!!!!!

Well, in the early 70ies (when they designed the 928) not as many people were not as tall and overweight...

Drove my wife and two teenage daughters from NH to Porsche Parade in PA, and these girls don't pack light. Four large soft bags plus, for a weeks worth of hotel living. Actually wasn't too bad. I had a turn in the back while the wife drove. Naturally provided a good excuse to drive fast to shorten the trip. Past quite a few envious 911 owners who seemed not to be fairing quite as well, who were also packing lots. Love that rear air.
