It's an $1100 option that included the Euro S-type spoilers front and rear, sport seats, and the flat dish mags. I think there is some dispute as to whether LSD was part of the package. What else did I miss? Suspension?

As atb said, however in 82 Porsche dropped the sports seats from the package and they became a seperate option. Package price remained the same.
LSD was not part of the package - suspension (shocks) were.

Thanks for the added info Rog. I really enjoy the Competition Group cars. I'd like to own one some day. Is there an option code for the package or did it just appear on the dealer invoice?

Probably an option code somewhere. The PO told me about it has he had purchased it new.
I used to think that 1980 to 1982 cars with the front and rear spoilers had had them added at a later date - wrong.
So when you see a 80-82 car with the spoilers it may have the competition package.
I would like a set of the sport seats to complete the package.
Been looking but never seen any - and I mean the older version not the post 85 type.
