So they are made from polycarbonate......which translates to plexiglass to me.....which scratches really easy.....they claim the plastic has a hard coating that repells dust....YA right.....if some wheel brushes scratch METAL wheels......what will happen to these!!

Just consulted the oracle on this. Plexiglass is an acrylic, and is not as strong or scratch resistant as lexan, which is a polycarbonite. Lexan is much stronger and fade resistant.

So they aren't the same.
