My car has always had the front plate installed. I'm more worried about the registration and inspection from '04 :-) (smog issues...)

Got my stuck headlights working last night and did a rushed but hopefully brilliant repair on my driver's door panel involving JB weld and metal brackets. I think I'll actually be able to pull on the arm rest now to close the door.

See ya'l this afternoon!

Same problem; I'll bring my paperwork and the 3mm allen tool.

Sorry, have been away: "SWMBO"= "She who must be obeyed" from John Mortimer's "Rumpole of the Bailey" sereis, made popular by BBC production for television.
Sorry I could not make MF........

I had a great time meeting everyone today over at James' house - excellent turnout! Thanks to everyone who had a hand in organizing the weekend and thanks James for letting the majority of 928s in Texas descend upon your house. Here are a few of pics; I'll post more to my Rennlist site shortly.

Great pictures Jim, and good to see you and your son. We made it back to Marble Falls and are now relaxing until it's dinner time then back to the parking lot for another late nighter I'm sure.

I'm one of those on the roof, so here's a shot from the roof.

Big thanks to James Morrison for hosting us for lunch, and it was great to finally meet him and see his collection.

I'm the 993 that passed you guys on 1431.

Gorgeous group of cars, and a nice treat to see after a trip down Lime Creek... Truly awesome to see all those 928s together.

I saw you go by; looking good yourself.

My first time and kudos to Chuck, Roger, Jim, and everyone else that helped. And a big thank you to James Morrison for hosting today's lunch. Isn't central Texas great driving for a November Saturday morning?

Today's memories -
  • that dip at the construction zone - twice,
  • trying to keep up with the front pack on the straights and through the twisties in my '84,
  • driving by Chuck stopped/stranded at the side of the road,
  • Roger carrying around his laptop, GPS and adapters trying to find a car with a working cigarette lighter,
  • Ed's tales of collisions and repairs survival,
  • Moe 'towing' James down the street in the race car,
  • John's car besting mine in "NonConcours",
  • a house with a walk-in ----,
  • AND A GARAGE WITH SIX 928S.

It was good to meet such a great group. Thanks again and everyone please drive careful tomorrow.

Hope everyone made it home safely. Thanks to Chuck, Roger, Jim and anyone else that helped organize this very successful event.

Here are a couple of links to some high res, panoramic shots that turned out pretty nice.

I've culled the "bad" pics I took, and I'll put the others on a CD and drop it off with Roger this week. My thanks as well to all the folks who did a great job in organizing a spectacular weekend. You especially did well on the weather!
