My inclination is to support the vendors. They provide more than just hardware.
Their know-how for me is priceless.
I think the 928 world is very fortunate to have 2 knowledgable rebuilders of the damn sensitive LH brain and the MAF.
One of the rebuilders talked me out of a MAF replacement cause my 88 does not show any of the symptoms of MAF degradation. But I know where I'll go when the MAF finally fails from the PO and my 5.5 years of K&Ning the platinum wire.
Good to hear 928Int'l finally got restocked with fresh MAF's. Git yer fresh MAF's here.

If I had a car with a MAF that needed work I would send it to Kevin at Injection Labs in a heartbeat. I have spoken with him in person and been in his shop when he was located here in NV. He definately knows his stuff when it comes to EFI systems. He was one of the development engineers for the Bosch MAF system so I am confident in his abilities. I spoke with him a while back about converting my AFM to MAF and he said it could be done without much trouble and mentioned that he was actually just finishing up such a conversion on a Carrera. I am not affililated with Injection labs other than meeitng with Kevin and chatting with him. Why not give them a try and let us know the results.

I just found a company with 2 new ones for 330UKP plus 17.5% tax. Mind you, with 2 years warranty John's seem a better deal even than that.

Thanks Jim. That's the kind of knowledge Rennlist is good for. If I ever need it, I'll give him a try.

The email link on their site is not working. Anyone have new/different one, phone number, etc. for Injection Labs?

The usual caveat, I don't know them and haven't done business with them.

Default It was me

It was me, I used these guys.

69K on my 90GT & I couldn't seem to track down an annoying idle problem- intake r&r with all new rubber & throttle switch, idle motor, cleaned & balanced injectors (www.witchhunter.com- great service, reasonably priced & fast turnaround), plugs, wires, rotors, caps, o2 sensor. All this helped the off idle performance, but I still had the stumbling idle so I sent my MAF to injection labs & they turned it around in less than a week. Kevin at injection labs said my MAF was barely out of calibration & shouldn't be enough to affect the idle, but I had it rebuilt anyway & now the idle is perfect.

Anyway, for $150 + shipping I wanted to pass the info on to my 928 brethren.

I just sent my MAF to Kevin at Injection Labs today. I hope to have it sometime next week. He said he only needed a day or two with it.

I will report back with my thoughts when i get it installed. I am trying to fix an idle issue when cold. The car will die unless i feather the throttle and keep it around 1100 rpm. After about 10-30 seconds it will idle ok and not die, but it does idle high at 1000rpm, as opposed to the 725 or 775 that the GT is supposed to idle at.

I will let you know sometime next week.

These guys are 10 minutes from my house (and near good BBQ.) I'm tempted to get my MAF rebuilt just as preventative maintenance for $150.

While trying to track down a problem that I was having with my car running extremely rich , I sent my AFM as well as my LH unit to one of the sponsors. Well, $450.00 later and a rebuilt AFM my car ran just as bad as it did prior me sending them in. It was very hard for me to argue my point because after twenty years of use the AFM could have very well been on it's way out. My point however is the feeling of getting screwed would have hurt just a little less for $150.00. Just my two pennies.

Joel, do you mean Brothers BBQ on Wadsworth just north of 120th? I am thinking about checking out this service too, as a preventative step, since it is close and cheap (Injection Labs, not Brothers).

Back to what's important, though: I prefer Daddy Bruce to Brothers. Brothers meat is better, but Daddy Bruce has the best sauce I've ever had.
