questions about the contents of the engine gasket set.
I am curious if anyone can tell me wether or not the engine gasket set for a 90GT would include the following, valve seals, crank seals, oil pump seal, camshaft seals, exhaust manifold crush seals?
Can anyone confirm the contents of the gasket set, i know it has head gaskets and manifold gaskets etc etc, but i am not sure and havent gotten a solid answer on wether or not all those seals are included as well?
Thanks

Should include every gasket/seal/Oring in the engine but not piston rings
I have a Victor Reinz Gasket set (ex 928SP) opened once and resealed and that includes at least 7 steel crush rings (couldn't see the 8th one) I don't think it includes the gasket between the exhaust manifold and downpipe but I could be wrong.
Pleasantly surprised to see that it included the cam housing end plugs - cool or what.
For some reason it also includes a Range Rover head gasket and two rocker cover gaskets LOL

FYIW - Mine did come with the oil shaft seal.

I only buy non-OEM when the original is not longer available.

I actually dug through the gasket bins at three local parts stores, purchased almost 20 different 3-bolt flange gaskets. It was on a Friday evening, I was desperate. I now have the original parts on my exhaust, no leaks.

I had the first set of Nissan Altima gaskets on for almost 5 years until I bought an H-pipe. All this time these gaskets never leaked or had any problems at all. The new Mazda set has only been on for a few months so it’s too early to tell. I agree to try using OEM but this is only a collector gasket and if it last 150K miles on a Japanese import then it sure will last on a 928. To me the Japanese collector gaskets fall into the same category as the Ford motor mounts. They both are adequate for the 928 and cost a fraction of the original part. Not to mention you can get them anywhere at any time.

I agree they should be easier to get a hold of in a pinch - post part numbers since between Checker - Autozone and whatever the other parts stor we have here did not carry anything close to OEM quality for collector gaskets.

Fair enough BUT… then add s/h to Canada. The Nissan/Mazda gaskets were around $2-$3 each. I agree the quality is not the same but perhaps the Porsche gaskets quality is too high for the application.

I've done the exercize of listing all the gaskets needed and then looking at the contents that the PET says the kit should have. A kit can cover several models and seem to be organized around head gasket size. (Which makes sense as those are the most expensive.) Don't be surprized if there are parts left over or you've got to shoose between similar looking bits.
There is no extra labelling in the kit so keep a eye on the parts that come off. Helps to have the old sealing rings handy and there may be material changes (like copper to aluminum) in those.
The kits are reached by the "Repair Kit Overview" button that looks like a license plate frame for some Teutonic reason. It'll show the P/Ns and quantities of the gasket set. Of course, there's the question about what Reinz actually puts in the kits but so far, so good.

Glen is right there is some weird stuff in the gasket set, how come they have the gaskets for the sides of the intake but not the gaskets for the intake to the block?. Pretty sure the gaskets for the cam covers were not in the kit either.

I did find out how to see the gasket set PN's and quantity in the PET, yes it seems to have an awful strange label but i found it none the less.
It seems like the porsche kit is quite extensive something like 120+/- parts total.

From what I understand there was never an actual 928 kit. Different vendors put them together. So that might answer the missing parts.
