Think I saw something like this on TV.
Ring mounted in front of the steering wheel where the flappy paddles would be.
Push ring forward for more speed.
Squeeze ring for brakes.

Ernest (NYC) currently in Manassas awaiting Frenzy.

Gas on the right hand and flappy paddle tranny on the left, was really neat the way it was setup and this was on a Chevy Cavalier. Don't know if it is possible for the 928 but that would be where I would start looking for things like this. I've found they are generally excited or at minimum understanding when people ask them about how they perform common tasks like driving when they can't reach the pedals.

Ernest - crossing my fingers that this is only a temporary situation and I'll be on the best-case end of the spectrum, such that a longer term solution is not needed. Thanks for the suggestion though.

imo000 - that's the idea I'm going after, but it's near impossible to not load the leg a bit. Hoping that with lightest possible pedal, I can use ~95% ankle with only a smidge of leg pressure periodically.

That upper screw that's sticking out past the bone... are they going to take that out, cut it off, or just leave it to give you pain every time you bump into something?
lol. Ya Dave, that's the first question I asked, "Did you run out of the correct length or something?"

Actually, the addt'l length ensures bite across the entire bone and the end sticking out is covered by tissue and muscle. Doc said it'd be a challenge to try and feel it later, recommending that I don't try As a side note, I found it funny <post surgery> to see the DeWalt cordless sitting on the side bench

BTW, Doc checkup today and he thought the lighter throttle was a good idea if all keeps progressing well. [Thanks for all the suggestions]. He cranked L/R lateral strength and range of motion to ~70deg, all A+ for only 2wks and my smaller Fibula bone still floating a bit until it attaches !! Freaked the hell out of me to put so much pressure/stress all of a sudden, but he "wanted to make sure the hardware was good and solid" - frickin' whacked!!

As strange as it seems, the way things flew apart in this mishap may be a blessing. Ligaments and nerves are notoriously stubborn. Bone likes to go full speed ahead. Assuming you don't have foot drop, or any other nerve driven issues, how about wrap the knee up tight and adjust the seat.

Check that. Wrap it in a brace and contract your calf muscle consciously to promote venous return and help prevent thrombosis.

George - definitely lucky that no tendons/ligaments/nerves were severed or compromised. Again, the Surgeon shook his head a bit in disbelief that all were intact; I simply thanked God it turned out this way

Oh my god, that is funny!

Damn it, Garth, now I've awakened the baby...!!!

Freakin' hilarious, though!
