The cool part about the IN&OUT spray is it water based....if you accidently spray some on the paint...it just wipes off....it really makes anything black under the hood look great....I just dust everything and spray it down....if its too shiney then just wipe it down a bit and it dulls down....in the pic above I got a deduction for "too shiney hoses" along with many more in the engine.....

It sounds like the S100 will last much longer...but is harder to apply.....

Rod,

I'm with you. I'm still working on getting it to stop wetting itself before I can start to clean it up.

As far as the interior, so far I've put in an air freshener .

You don't understand HOW dirty your engine is until you take it apart!

Pictures:

1. Taken in January 2006- looks pretty clean doesn't it? Think again...

2. What ACTUALLY existed under that spider intake in June!

3. Newly clean engine...

4. Back together.

N!

That valley really didn't look that bad......mine has at least that much oil-dirt in it!

Normy,

That's some nice stuff. There should be a thread of just engine bay pix. What do you think?

Question: Mine is an '85 also, why does your engine look so different from mine? Aside from the fact that mine's covered in grime and yours is clean enough to eat off of?

My stuff is all in different places.

Looks very nice. I also believe the valley shown earlier in this thread was not nearly as bad as mine was. Mine had not only junk and grime but spare parts that migrated there over various projects conducted by PO's.

I hope mine can look this good when I am done with my current clean up / intake refurbish project.
