Installing a Begi 2025
Where can I find a good high pressure fuel hose? I went to Autozone and they only carry 50 PSI hoses.
Also the Begi print out says I need a fuel pressure of 79.5 PSi for 8 lb of boost {(1.41x1.41x36)+8=79.5 psi}. Is that enough to feed the 928?
Does anyone has a printout of the routing of the hoses?
Thank you

Gio, you need John's Shark Tuner. Forget that high fuel pressure mechanical bandaide approach to tuning your Boostard. The LH is capable of properly fueling your supercharged car without resorting to fuel system pressures of over double the design pressure. Plus, with the Shark Tuner, you can also optimize the spark side of the engine control system, and end up secure in the knowledge that both lean fueling detonation, and spark induced detonation are not going to result in the demise of your Supercharged car.

Three Wheelin'
I've got 30lb injectors, I don't run 80 lbs of fuel pressure, and I run more rich than lean, and my boost gauge reads 9/10 psi.
But I do plan to have custom chips burned, once the warranty on my rebuilt LH is up. There should be more power to be had by running a leaner mixture than I am currently.

Giovanni I have been looking at this also. There are several alternatives available. Gates makes fuel hose with the rating SAE J30R9 (type 4219P) which is the rating you need not SAE J30R7. I contacted the original equipment manufacturer for the OB to see if they still produced the same hose but they stopped in 2000 they replaced the design with something that looks like a lower quality but they assured me it was not. I purchased 65 feet (minimum order) so if you need some PM me. The working pressure is 150 psi and minimum burst pressure is 440 psi. Also Thermoid FI-Plus is another one but the outer cover looks like crap it's all bumpy looking. There is a Parker series that is way overkill for the application I think it's 221FR

Gio,
Why the BEGI unit and not a different boost controlled FPR? Just curious.
Some would argue higher fuel pressure leads to better fuel atomization. I agree Shark Tuner is the best way to go (L-Jet version???) just felt like throwing that on the table

Why Begi? No specific reason.
I agree that the shark tuner is the best way to go but I would be afraid of getting stuck with it and not being able to use it.
A4sfed928: I'll pm you if I end up installing the Begi.
I am considering getting copies of chips of another SG 928 and hopefully that will be "close enough" and give me better performance gains than the Begi itself.
Btw JP, you got PM about the chips!!
