Where is alarm unit?
I am uncertain if my car even has an alarm, but it looks like the long key comparing the two on ebay pics. There is a button with a black rubber boot under the hood behind the cross bar passenger side. Where would I need to look to check this out more?
Thanks

The quickest way to find out if you have an alarm, is to roll the window down, close the door and lock it with the key, then reach in through the open window and open the door... If the alarm doesn't sound don't automatically assume you don't have one.
My early '86 didn't go off when I did this test. But one day I could get the hatch to stay closed so I cycled my key in the lock fro center to right then all the way to the left and back to center. Closed the hatch.. went around and opened unlocked drivers door...alarm went off... took me a while to figure that one out..
The trigger on the drivers door was not engaged, but was functional on the pass side and hatch locks.

It should reside in the trashcan, but that's just my opinion.
