So Carl, there 'seemed' to be a shot of your car spun off into the weeds? Hurray for no damage- any good story go with that?

Carl certainly was pushing it at times. But that was the great thing about this event - if you wanted to take it slow, you could but if you wanted to really push it you could do that too. Either way, it was very safe for drivers and 928s. There was plenty of runoff that was just low cut grass. No cement walls or guardrails on the edge of the track here.

I think thats great! One of the images of his car circling the track bore that out- - a great study in capturing motion in a still image...not just that its sharp and well focused with the right depth of field, but that it depcits the forces at work on a car hauling ...

I hope this happens again next year, although it's only 3hrs drive from me i just couldn't make it.

A simple story... when my son AJ hoped in for a ride, I decided to take it up a notch further than I had with John Q Public - basically to show off to my son ( I will grow up someday - just not today).

Tried to take that corner with a faster entry speed than I had been using all day just to see if it could be done. Entered the corner too hot, and gassed it too early. When the back end started to come around, instead of getting off of it, I decided I'd lost it and decided "what the hell" and put my foot IN it. That's blue/white tire smoke as I did a donut down the course before steering off into the grass.

I steered off onto the grass just in case there was someone behind me. That's the great thing about the Autobahn Race Track - lots of run off room, no trees. Just fartin' around. No harm, no foul.

I dunno - maybe 335/35's aren't large enough and I'll have to go bigger.
