Well, despite Rich's generous offer of support, it looks increasingly unlikely I can go. I had hoped to get my T-Belt looked at today at Ron's T-Belt party, but ran out of time to finish another project on the car - so it's still not driveable. I now have doubts I'll have the T-Belt inspected or - if necessary - replaced in time for this event.

Bummer.

Well there's still some time before the event. If you want to come out just to catch ride, you're more than welcome to.

Ok, I'm in. I changed the oil and brake fluid this weekend, gave everything the once-over, just need to put on the track tires/wheels and I'm ready. Met up with Brian this afternoon, looks like he will try to make it as well.

C'mon people, anyone on the fence about this should take this opportunity to get a quality track day with their 928, at a very good price, with an experienced 928 driver/instructor (Dennis "Track Addict" Kao )

Hope to see some more 928's among the sea of 911/993/996/Boxsters!

If there are any questions, please let me know!

Great! Two victims . . . er, I mean students.

Brian - I am NEVER bored while in a student's car. I fill the time between instructions w/ prayer. Just make sure to have fresh brake fluid and more than 50% of your pads left. It's the one thing that catches most people out on their first track day.

Nicole: I forgot about checking your T-belt. We can do it Wednesday or Thursday evening, if you want.

I would love to do this, but I don't have the extra vacation day to take from work.

Brian - I'd change the fluid. A year is enough for the fluid to pick up moisture & reduce its boiling pt.

Steve - You'd be amazed how many sick employees feel better after a day at Thunderhill. It's miraculous.

Truth be told, I am hedging my bets that the Padres will make the playoffs and I will be in San Diego for the divsional series on the 4th and 5th.

Turns out the fluid is 6 months old with less than 2K miles? Bill & I will take a look at it sunday...but it should be fine?? I'l buy another one just in case

StevenB......as much as I hate to say it......I hope they loose so you can attend!!! We can have a contest for the "slow lap" award....but I do have an advantage of having an automatic!!! So you'll have to work extra hard to beat me!! :>)
