OK .."what a surprise! And the MAF indeed needed replacement." You know just as the rooster who crows at dawn could believe that his crowing causes the sun to rise it is difficult to determine cause and effect all that is known with certainty is that mass air flows DO FAIL.

Not sure who took the photo @ Frenzy 7. Can't remember whose car, but it had a mouse nest & needed a new MAF.

Hey that's me! I think Ernest W took the photo - but like all Frenzies memory is a bit suspect. This is the mouse before eviction

I wonder if the mouse is still living at Intersport!

Car belongs to Mark ?

Thats nothing - rat urine can kill people too! Commonly occurs when people explore old barns, sheds where they have been nesting and/or peeing, leaving some toxic bugs behind.

Aqua regia (King Water) is also the only fluid that dissolves gold - hot concentrated Nitric + Hydrochloric IIRC.

I wish I had a better picture, but here is what I found when removing the alternator cowling… perhaps a relative moving in

I guess the PO didn't drive it much.

Its funny but it sucks all the same.

In a way its a good thing you bought the car otherwise the rat eviction notice may never have been served. The car's in good hands now.

Many moons ago, I installed a pair of screens over the air intake bells on the rad support .... after evicting a mouse who smuggled a winters supply of dog food into the air cleaner ...
Old metal speaker grilles work well.

Apparently, rats prefer salad.
