Default My AC fan mistake

Hi,
I've been trying to get a Zirgo fan to work for my AC condenser fan. Each time I've had trouble with the fan blade breaking the little pin which connects it to the motor shaft. The vendor has been helpful and replaced each unit, until we gave up on the 3rd or 4th. I decided to put back the old fan but I forgot that I had reversed the polarity of the connector to accomodate the Zirgo.
No problem, except on a warm day I turned on my AC, fan is wired to come on with compressor. Now the AC is fine but my fan is turning the wrong direction. Engine gets hotter. I turn off the AC and now the coolant temp switch keeps the fan running (in the wrong direction). Water temp warning light comes on as I get home. I open the hood and observe the fan direction. I want to kick myself because it's wrong and acting in oppostion to my belt driven fan. It would have been fine with no electric fan but one going backward was counter-productive.
I rewired the connector and all is well again. Maybe next time I'll be smarter.
