Well, now that you ask, I'd say don't get "PS fluid"(meaning any product that is labelled as PS fluid) anywhere near your car. Not for any reason. What your car wants to use as PS fluid is Dexron II ATF. You should be able to use Dexron II or III. PS fluid may eat all the seals in the system. That last sentence was a guess. I have no direct experience trying that, but just be sure to use what's recommended.

Only a SWAG... once you get it into the air it should be very clear what's going on.
Well, Heinrich was "on the money" stating that Sharksin was "on the money". Once up on the lift it was obvious that it was P/S fluid that was not only a little dirty, but was gathering momentum and any available grime as it traveled south; all the while disguising itself as oil. The high pressure hose was the culprit. 928 Intl sent one out this afternoon and I'll have it tomorrow.

Good news is I'll be driving this weekend in our ~75 degree weather. Other good news is I've gotten the d/s cam cover seal done and will know how to do the p/s much faster. Also have a set of new vacuum hoses from 928 Motorsports ready to be put on. Should be a much better weekend!

Thanks to all who offered suggestions/help.

Regards,

David

Glad to hear you have it figured out! Make sure you torque it to 22 ft-lbs on the rack, with new crush washers and you're good to go!
