i think it only charges a fee if you send the payment via credit card. i have received money with paypal fine without a fee. then again, i'm weird...

It really doesn't matter how payment is sent - a paypal is there for those who want to use it. Anyone else can send Tim a check.

Since this isn't a group buy where the vendor is awaiting all the payments before anyone receives anything - there really isn't any negative side to any of this. Unless it takes a while for all of the funds to come in & Mark is left hanging wondering when he will be able to install / test his new power plant.

There are different threshholds for fees for bank accounts vs credit cards.

Damn this seemed to work out pretty well. Maybe I'll start a "Lets help Jeff and his wife buy a house with CASH " thread. Think it'll work? BTW Good luck Mark.

I don't know if that's possible. Maybe Erik can make a little graph and update it occasionally?

Assuming I'm able to get my new computer up and running this weekend (all the parts should be here tomorrow) I'll make some kind of bar graph, chart - add it to my sig.

$800 sent via Paypal so far - Make that $900

Ah, I wondered about the eRam.

If I have any cash left over after my clutch job this week, I'll send it.

This is a great idea!

I wonder, if Mark would be willing to put a big HookedOnCars.com sticker on his race car... In that case, I could talk to the CFO of Hooked On Cars and see, if she could make some sponsorship funds available.

I sent $101.00, since Mark is just going to sell me the Holbert car in a few years anyway...

[Oh I just thought of this: I should have sent $109.28]

Best of luck!

N!
