George, There are some reserved spots that have hook-ups for RV's. You usually have to pay premium to get these spots during a normal race. I have no idea if these will even be available for use during an event like the PCA. I suspect not, as these are not open during SCCA events that I have been to in the past.
Mel, if you could ask your PCA contact who they are coordinating with at the Speedway I would be glad to contact them about RV camping etc..

Anybody have a recommendation for a hotel near the track? The Hilton Garden that's recommended on the event website is booked for the weekend. I'm not looking for anything extravagant but it needs to be decent since this will be a family trip. A suite would be nice but probably too pricey. How long does it typically take to drive to and fro from the beachfront hotels?

There are several hotels right across from the track. The Ramada Inn is directly across the street and is clean, has an Uno's rest. and a pool. Several others, I can't remember the names, one is a suite style like Homewood Suites or similar. The beach is only a 15 -20 minute ride from the track. Unless you have some responsibilities at the track and need to be near by....stay at the beach for sure.

Anything I can do to help, send a pm.

I was wondering about Constantine too, haven't heard a peep out of him. I know at SITM he & his wife were saying they'd be at Daytona. Hope they can make it! We have about 21 commited to going as of now, should be a fun event!

Try this one, The Streamline Hotel. It is credited with being the "birthplace of NASCAR" as Big Bill held the very first meetings here to organize the racing series.....my how things have changed!

From the Daytona Beach News Journal,
"the Streamline Hotel ranks among the top four in the city for police calls to the property: 385 in 14 months from January 2003 to March 2004.......The Streamline doesn't hide its orientation. Although the owners say they are cracking down on gay prostitutes hanging out in the bars, ."

Enjoy your stay........
