Default Electric Locks...

OK Maybe it is just an oversight on Porsches part in '83 but perhaps it is just my special problem. If I unlock the Drivers side door it simply inlocks that door... if I unlock the passenger door.. it unlocks both doors. Now, I think it is a problem with the locks on the drivers side but since my car is a US model IE: Left hand drive perhaps it was an oversight.. Anyone else seen this before?

Mine opens both doors when I unlock the drivers side and the paasenger side. It should work both ways.

They should open both ways regardless of whether its a US or ROW model. Problems with the Central Locking System are unfortunately somewhat common GeaBaldyVx. It can be both mechanical and electrical. I'd do a search on it I'm sure you'll find lots of info. Above the fusepanel I believe there are two little inline 400 millamp fuses. I think its position 21 and 22. These are for the Central Lock. Check them first.
