Exclamation 1990 928 GT for sale $18,900

Ok, I am just going to put this out there, I have found a local project that I want to take on and need the funds to secure the car. I dont know how long it will be available so I am listing my 90 GT for sale for $18,900, assuming the car i want to purchase in its place is still available.

I dont have any pics of the car since I bought it in April, but I will take some tomorrow for those interested. Some things to note of the car.

Black/Cashmere
114,000 miles
excellent mechanical condition, exterior needs some detailing of swirl marks and interior was due to be refreshed with dying leather and carpet cleaning
Leather headliner and rear qtr panels

The engine in the car comes from Devek, mileage on the engine is different from the car, engine has approximately 168,000 miles on it. It was replaced as the car was purchased with timing belt jump. Original engine is availabe as well for additional expense should you be interested.

The car has a recent timing belt, water pump change within 4K miles, with rebuilt tensioner and new idler pulley's etc.
New engine wiring harness, new HAL sensor
New fuel injectors
new Rear main seal
recent plug wires and cap and rotors, O2 sensor
new battery
New Porsche belts
new motor mounts, "Real Gasket" pan gasket, oil pan studs, GTS pan baffle, New oil cooler, PS reservior and PS rubber lines, rebuilt PS pump, air filter, fuel filter etc.
Intake and cam covers refinished along with all new seals and rubber lines on the engine, including flappy, and all oil control lines, as well as all rubber hoses for cooling system as well as T-stat.
Clutch recently replaced, flywheel resurfaced as well as front and rear brakes although i do not have records for these
All fluids replaced, Mobil 1, Redline 75-90, brake fluid, PSD needs flush but will be done this weekend.
new clutch hydraulic components, slave, master, reservior hose
Has 17" GTS Cup II wheels, needs front tires and alignment as they wear unevenly
Front and rear bumpers could use a respray, window tinting should be replaced or removed.
Dash pod needs refinishing or leather cover
Clean carfax, no accidents, no mileage issues, will provide VIN for those interested, or will post (dont know it off the top of my head)
No oil leaks, no PS leaks, no coolant leaks.

90% of the work mentioned above was done in the past 2-4 months.

I am sure i am missing a few things but if you have questions feel free to call, post, e-mail, PM whatever and I will be glad to answer those questions.

Again, I will take pictures tomorrow and post or e-mail to those seriously interested.

Also, I am listing this car for a quick sale within 7-14 days, I will alter the price if the deal pending the sale of this GT falls through. As such i am pretty firm on the $18,900 price.

Car is in Los Angeles area

Again, if you have any questions feel free to ask away, and please, serious inquiries only.

Thanks

Ryan

You have no problem selling it at that price. Good luck.

If anyone wants additional info on that car, I will be very happy to give additional information that might help make a deal.

We know it well, and when it threw a timing belt, it was at our shop for awhile for sale. As Ryan noted, we also sold him the engine and know the 928 it came from.

Anyone has any questions, any at all, let me know and i will behappy to provide whatever info i can.

Best,
Marc

Interesting......

To update, the car I was looking to purchase an 87 911 has since sold since i posted this message, it sold the next day unfortunately for me.

As for Devek providing information, I am suprised to see that posting, quite frankly. Devek has done quite a bit of work on the car who's engine was transplanted into my car. As for the condition of the car when it was at their shop in April, I will tell you my first impressions of the car were somewhere in the "what have i done" more then anything. I have done quite a bit of work on the car since its days in San Jose, I appreciate Devek posting and offering information on the car, but I dont know how accurate it would be as the car was somewhat of a mess when i bought it. I also have had my fair share of issues with Devek as some of you know, and I hope that Marc's post to share information is not out of spite, but if they in fact have any helpful things to say to help a sale so to speak then have at it. I do have my reservations though and am still working towards settlement with Devek over an issue reported on this board earlier.

That being said.....

If someone would like some first hand knowledge of the car I am sure Dr. Bob could give a more honest assesment of the car in its current state as he has seen it since its been run and can more accurately give an opinion to its condition should he choose to. But I prefer you call me as anyone who has spoken to me can attest to my straight forward ways. Dont bother those other guys until your tired of talking to me (insert wink)

Again, to the folks at Devek, no disrespect, but I would think that your information on the car is since outdated and of questionable use to prospective buyers. That being said, if someone wants to call them up, go right ahead, I appreciate you posting, if for no other reason then it takes what was on page 50 probably back to page 1.

If anyone is serious about a GT then let me know, as i stated the project that came up last week has since been sold and I am in no rush not to sell the car. There are projects yet to be done on the car which have in the last few days had renewed interest in rectifing and sorting out. The car is not really for sale, i am not advertising it and I think we all know that cars posted on Rennlist usually find no buyers of these postings, I think "lowmiler" and "whitefox" can also attest to that. It was a post for a quick sale, which has really since lapsed, but if someone reads this and is interested in the car then shoot me an e-mail and I would be happy to provide you with other information.

Cheers
