What is a 5-point? You can instal a stock 88 or later rear belt. My experience is the lapbelt secures a child seat well if tightened, and the additional tether helps, to the mount behind the backrest.

I am looking for a set of three points as you mentioned, but my 8,6,4 year olds are all to big for any car seat which could fit in the back. I finally figured out they grow regardless if you feed them or not ! I have a few days before Devek days to make a set now because I got around to it.

With the seat up I use the seatbelt thru the handle of the ice chest to keep it from flying about back there.

the seats are alot more functional than the ones were in my 996 cab as far as comfort for the kids. I definitely have to move my seat forward, I'm 6'3", when one of my kids is behind me. The hard part will be when the 1 year old is old enough for rides.. I might have to rip out the rear air and put in a bench seat .. LOL

All my photo gear, and I mean all of it! I was conisdering getting an old 55 Ford wagon to haul my gear to locations, but my 928 has plenty of room- and length- for even my longest stands. Try that in any car.

J/K,

I think I had a double dose of what you're taking. Shall I up the dosage or back off? All I know is that I have a 55 gallon drum full of 928 whup-**** in the garage.

...and the 55 gallon drum won't fit in my back seat. My Audi TT has a warning sticker saying that no one over 4'7" should sit in the back seat. It fails to mention that legs are not allowable unless the person in the front seat is equally short. The 928 has much more room but I still have trouble talking grown people into climbing in there except for just short jaunts.

Wow, who knew - we have back seats!

The last time anyone sat in the back of mine was probably 1984, when my mother in law rode in the back with my wife and I from San Fran to San Diego - down 101/PCH all the way.
She got me so pissed off with her moaning about being cramped I knocked my wife up as soon as we got to our hotel, and we had a beautiful daughter 9 months later.!

Actually I find the passenger side useable as my wife is only 5-1 and either of the teen boys can fit in there with her and the seat moved up. Even the 2 boys ride in the front and rear on the psgr side althought they fight over the front.

I have used my rear seats a few times to carry adults and everyone comments that the back seats are more comfy than expected. Most of the time I carry my tennis rackets back there. If there was an easy way to delete those seats that didn't look like crap I would do it. I would think there would be a pretty good weight saving if you took them out.

I believe you mentioned that you wanted smaller sized belts for your kids. Here is a place that sells small 5 point harnesses for Jr. Dragsters. Cheetah

I hope this helps

Do the pre-S4's have the mounting point in the C-pillar? I thought you could only retrofit them on the '87's.

I'll look, but even if not, it can certainly be done.

Not better than the rear seats in a Lincoln Mk VII LSC.

I got 4 normal sized guys in the 928 once. It was tight, but it's doable. Not for very long, but the seats are shaped such that you have enough headroom, you just have to splay your legs.

I've sat back there, it actually makes me a bit claustrophobic. Haven't had that problem in the backs of other coupes, so not sure what's up with that. Mind probably can't deal with the fact that I'm not in the drivers seat.
