Default strip paint off new fender

I have a replacement fender. My paint guy asked me to completely strip it. The paint is very hard. Has anyone done this, and have any suggestions on the best paint stripper to get.
Thanks.
Leon

Hi we used aircraft stripper do it when it is cool outside on a cardboard surface and out of the sun. it will take a few applications to get the paint off than when it is clean aluminum make sure to have it zinc chromated so the new paint will stick

Do you have a brand in mind? Every product web site tells me there product works. I am looking for a specific product that someone used and did work. I tried a cheap stripper on the crossbar under the hood. It took the black paint right off the aluminum. I used some rubbing compound and polish it looks great. I sprayed a little of this stripper on the lower corner of the fender and just bubbled a little. The paint didn’t come off.

Brake fluid is cheap and removes paint pretty well.

you really shouldn't strip it anyway. the factory finish is going to be better than anything a painter can put on. sand to primer and paint.

Thanks for the ideas, I will bring them up to the guy who is painting. Sanding to primer sounds good to me.
