Hey Gents,
Ok some of you know about my little problem with the clutch leaking into my driver-side foot well. Now I still need to replace the master cylinder but once that is done I need some suggestion for what to do with all the carpet & padding that has soaked up the brake fluid.
The carpet that is affected is the main carpet & floor mat and the side piece along the door rail. The carpet & padding behind the peddles and the drivers side of the drivers side of the center console.
So do I need to replace the carpet completely or can I salvage it? From what I can understand the clutch fluid leak is a pretty common problem so I was wondering what some of my fellow shark owners have done when this happens. Seems terribly expensive to replace those carpet pieces every time a leak is discovered.
Thoughts?

Sorry to hear that.
Brake fluid is soluble in water, so you should try a carpet cleaning water extraction tool. Could damage the color if left too long. But you should be able to remove all the brake fluid with enough water rinces.
