If the king had any brains he would put them into climate controlled museum quality storage in those bubbles you can buy for collectors cars. He could drive each one moderately and then put it away into storage, moving onto the next one. That collection will be worth 2 to 4 times as much between 40 and 60 years from now. Sure, some of the cars will be worth 10-20 times as much, but others less exotic won't. Oh well, what is an extra billion dollars to a king anyhow? Nothing.

Seriously. Not like the guy couldn't afford to have a nearly hermetically sealed garage with some kind of special air lock entry where the car was totally decontaminated before re-entering.

This is probably not true, but I had heard that he just dumps the cars in the ocean at some point when he's fully through with them. Who knows.

You're probably not going to believe this but the Sultan's family owns property all over the world and at one time, EVEN MOSCOW IDAHO! One of his relatives was visiting a friend of mine about 15 years ago and checking on the property and he asked for a ride in my 1932 Plymouth Street Rod (speed yellow, 'vette engine, buckets, tint, chopped top, tilt, AC, posi, the whole 9 years). After a short ride, he pulled out his billfold and offered to buy it for cash at whatever I wanted to sell it for. At the time, I'd just completed the build and wasn't interested in selling. He put his billfold back in his pocket and we continued smoking tires. Also, I was afaid he might get killed and I'd be sued since at about 125mph the car wanted to go airborne and the steering no longer responded due to front end lift.

Looking back....and knowing what I just read above about the Sultan's collection....I'd probably have reacted differently. I could have sold it for enough to cover lawyer's fees? Since then, there was some disagreement with the govt. and they sold U.S. properties in this area and invested in Canada.

Maybe in my next life, one of us will come back as a Sultan who likes cars? With my luck, it would be a cricket or something to get squashed on the roadway.

Reading Ferrari forum posts it seems some bank owns at least some of the cars now and is selling them quietly away not distract the market. Maybe some special 928's could be rescued from there into some RHD countries.

Washed one, ha ha ha! He probably gets rid of it when it gets dirty. Makes one wonder how many Gt's and enzo's this guy has tucked away.

WRETCHED EXCESS! DAMN, 9 Mclaren F1's WHAT THE HELL FOR!

The people in his country are poor as can be and this King just spends all the country's wealth on cars. A collection is cool but **** 20 928's, 10 McLaren F1's? how many Enzo's F40's F50's THATS RIDICULAS! I know he also owns a number of EX F1 cars from all era's as well. And when people say he dumps them in the river when he is done, what an utter waste! Not to the cars, forget the damn cars, what a waste of resources that could turn hundreds of thousands of people's lives around. To see that list of cars makes me sick honestly. Do some good for humanity, What has this guy contributed to the world, with those resources i bet in 50 years when the family is removed, by war, by take over by, by whatever will happen in the middle east, all that will be left is a bunch of stupid cars, and poor people who's king squandered they nation's resources on cars.

Sorry to rant, this guy makes me sick, seriously.

I thought so also until tried it in UK. Took maybe two minutes to get used to it. After which didn't have to think at all about it.

Yep - check the list and you'll find 3 copies of the Ferrari Mythos show car. Wonder what that set him back?

Geez...such a waste. Do wonder what his 928 look like as they probably sit with no miles on them.
