Sylt, the island of the rich and pretty germans! ;-) In the states these are the islands in the north east?

The BBS rims on the Strosek are worth a fortune.

Nice looking parts

Default Removing the Ugly BLING

Here's a picture of my 79 from about a month ago- at fellow Rennlister and 928 guru Wayne S' abode. S L O W L Y making progress on returning the car to it's original form and function.. Those 198(?) spoilers that a former owner decided to add (incorrectly mounted too) are now gone. I swear I could hear the car breathe a sigh of relief- that's a lot of extra weight and ugliness to carry around for decades. The OB's deserve to have clean lines right?

Going soon: turbo twists (bringing back original teledials), window tint, the ugly exhaust tip, repaint to original helblau

Yes it was that one Åke.
Almost no nust anywhere and rebuilt original engine that has done just 2600km since rebuild. It also did come with a complete, good compression spare engine. The waterpump seal had started to leak because of the low usage and storage the last 10 years.
So now I'm doing the timing belt, all the gears, seals, waterpump and porkentensioner on this one. And many other things of course. I'm thinking about starting a rebuild-thread, maybe someone can pick up som info that's useful...That rear wing is just insane, it screams the 80s, you love it like me or you hate it...

Daniel, you have the first generation of Strosek Rear Wing, same as for my oldest car model year 1985. Below pictures show you the three versions of Strosek Rear Wings I know of, from old to late.
