Is there an intentional gap between the rear lip of the hatch and the rear bumper cover?

Mounting the mini starter under the oil pan with a 10mm spacer resulted in a very tight fit. Material had to be grinded off the oil pan, the starter motor had to be clocked slightly by milling the bolt holes, the electrical terminal had to be relocated.

I removed my rub strips, rear wiper and headlight washers to clean up my outlaw GT!
Also had removed the rear wing for a while, but re-installed it after driving it at speed without it. Lets just say the rear end gets a tad light starting at about 140.
The original cars are nice and all but this is my manic depressive stripper fun gurl car. Light, quick and hotter than hell...

ha..removed side markers, rear wiper, headlight washers, keyed door locks, rear bumperettes, rub strips... donor was a sunroof delete car. Also replaced flags and with (manual) sport mirrors...early FBC replaced with "S" FBC along with euro fogs/driving lights and "S" ductwork parts added. to vent the large...all smoothed out, and as Dave attests^^gets a little light out back when traveling over 140mph.
