928 GTS vs. 991 GT3 Touring. Couldn't help but be struck at the profiles

Very cool pics Rob. Same reason when I designed my garage a while back and asked my wife to make sure a 928 would fit. She created plans that showed a 991. I said wrong model, she said that a 928 was not available in the archive for the Revit program (she used this to design the space) and the current 911 was within 1- 1/2 inches in all dimensions.

The 991 is the new 928. (Yup, I love eye poking the a$$-draggers in the other forums with than opinion.) Except that the 991 is arguably heavier. It's just a smidge shorter. Pretty much the same width. But, surprisingly the 991's taller by more than a smidge.

My first 928 was grey, an 81 5 speed, shown here in Rhode Island soon after I bought it in 1989. Even with the split seats and cracked paint I was loving it!
