No jump post cover, per se on 78's. There is a little plastic push on cap. Here's the one on Minerva, there's on on the LA car as well, just hard to see.

Ok. So the early cars had just the post cover. While the later cars (MY?) went to the "two-piece" system of a post cap and a splash shield.

I notice also that the early cars have a thin weather strip along the rain gutter on each fender whereas the later cars do not.

It escaped and was finished in time for Monterey!
Just barely, "finished" last Monday night at 1 AM, drove to the detailers Tuesday AM, shipped north on Wednesday.
