I'm going on a few years with a painted intake and cam covers and am starting to see adverse effects. There is some chipping of the lettering on top of the intake (from wrenching, taking off airbox etc. Just being in the engine compartment) and some bubbling/separation on the cam cover letters. I think the heat cycling has eventually broke down the automotive paint on the cam covers. It still looks very good minus a few chips, but isn't quite as durable as had hoped.

Since a picture thread, here is another of my powdercoated valve covers which I finished up the red letter painting this weekend. Used the Testors paint pens, uber easy and great results. My camera skills do not do them justice..

Thank you Brad.
This spring I did some replating. Throtle quadrant, hinges, hood latch, etc.
I think that will be it for now under the hood.
Nothing is installed yet - working on my suspension, brakes, etc. right now.

Yea men, tough color to photograph. Best one I have was taken by David Hawkins (Coldbeer) at SITM 2009.
David let me drive his '94 GTS. So NICE!
Brent, The offer stills stands. Your car is one of my all-time favs!
