And I was just down the street from your house when the 2004 event unfolded. In the middle of starting a power plant in Chehalis/Centralia.
The cavalier attitude towards fun-drive rental cars comes from one of our east-coast visitors who drove the fun drive through the Malibu mountains in the first year of Sharktoberfest. There's a particularly pungent fragrance generated by overheating brakes, mixed with the delicate aroma of burning rubber. It reminds me of... victory.

It's a lesson we learn from wives. Guilty never wears off.

Marriot Confused :-(
Tried to get information about the event and such but the reservation desk was boggled :-(. Regardless, I got the direct number 714-738-7800 and thought to pass it along.

DisneyLand after Sharktoberfest?
Since I am planning to play hooky (self employed) for a few extra days, are there other 928 families who may consider an adventure during the week to DisneyLand?
Off to see the RAT!

Ditto the 800#!
TDelarm: Yeah I'm driving down! Wouldn't be as much fun in a rental! Besides my shark neeeeeeeds the exercise, hell I'm lucky to clock 4000 miles a year, so far I've only managed 1400 miles so a trip to Anaheim and back will be good for it.

ARGH!
Rooms are all gone! For Sharktoberfest 2006, if you have Marriot Rewards you maybe able to get rooms for $109-$119 per night. The first price is no breakfast buffet, and the latter is breakfast buffet included.

Hmmm... I just called and they said nothing about the rooms being all taken. They confirmed the $104 Sharktoberfest rate as listed on the Sharktoberfest website.
Nevertheless, it might not be a good idea for people to get their reservations in soon...
