Default Sears Point incar video clip from the 550hp Evo

Did you guys see this video from the Evo in car camera, starting fro mthe back of our race at Sears Point?

http://www.muellerized.com/videos/92...he%20_back.wmv

He blew the turbo near the end of his fight to catch up to the front. (where I was fighting it out with the M3) his waste gate stuck open slightly, so he probably started with his normal 550hp and ended up with 350hp toward the end and then called it quits. (he didnt know how serious the failure was)
would have been nice for him to continue on. we could have had 5 cars fighting for the lead all with near HP/weight performance, instead of 4!!

Hi Mark,

is it 550 at the crank? I wonder what is it putting down front and rear?

Are wastes gate normally serviced??? did they just neglect it and it finally failed? I'll bet that car get pretty hot after a while... the stock evos run like 19lbs... is that motor totally built out... I have heard of a place called Works in the north bay for evos...

I have showed my buddies these videos... they all really like tham and are impressed by your car...

good luck on getting ready to race against the evo again...

I dont know about the servicing of the waste gate, but what i do know is that he runs near 26lbs of boost, and who knows why that waste gate failed. It probably was due to all that heat over the past couple of seasons. He is running two race groups now GT1/SP and ITE now, so i guess my only chance now is to wait for the evo to break during its double duty all season long! It has been pretty dependable though!

he is putting near 450rwhp now, and it could be more now. Its pretty built out now. However, he was runnng a little less HP a while ago with the stock bottom end. (2 liter stock) now, he has a pretty stout 2.4 liter stroker version!
