Default Just removed the Ghetto MOMO Steering Wheel

And replaced it with the nice looking stock unit it came with. Easier to turn since there was a size difference

More and more people seem to be discovering a new found love for the original steering wheel.
Based on the feedbacks and orders I received, we will see a lot more of them in the near future.

Here is a nice silver on black we recently completed for a fellow Rennlister:

A ghetto wheel? FYI, the stock wheel is more "ghetto" than the MOMO.

Da' Brothez be liking a wheel they can drive with their knee and paste their gameboy controls on, no room on a MOMO for all of that and plus it's to small around to drive with your knee. Don't you listen to any rap?

So FYI, you put what would be the preferred ghetto wheel (the stock one) right back on the car.

If you find a MOMO that hard to turn, increase your protein intake and get on a weight training program to help build up those arms... and soon, you too should be able to turn the MOMO with ease.

I agree, the 4 spoke wheels are one of the ugliest ever desinged. I prefer anything over the stock, but if it has to be an OEM wheel I would pick the 3 spoke (early 928) wheel over the 4 spoke any day.

Yup, the 3 spoke 930 wheel is sweet but the huge *** 4 spoke is just plain goofy looking.. imo

If I had one in my Porsche, I would be sending it to Champagne to at least make it look like something other than a steering wheel from the Flintstone era. I hate how big the damnn stock wheel is but at least his work makes it look A LOT better.

The stock wheel is just too large, IMO. Paul's work makes it look 100% better but the "feel" just doesn't work for a sports car. The only way I'd replace my MOMO for a stock one is if the grip diameter was made larger and then covered by Paul. The smaller wheels also make it easier to get in and out of the car.

My stock wheel is in excellent condition however I would have Paul(Champagne) recover it with some cool coloured stiching and perhaps add to the thickness of the wheel. In meantime my Momo is looking good. If a good deal on a 3 spoke 930 wheel comes along I'm all over it!

LOL GHETTO GHETTO GHETTO......LOL
With the loud pipes and the racerboi steering wheel it makes me feel like I am trying to pimp out the ride to neeto keen racer boi quality.

Problem is with my MOMO it was black and grey/light grey.

I will look in to getting an all black model.

I did notice my steering horn cap is a 911 part number

I think that even more than the two-tone, the bare metal center part looks out of place in a 928 interior.
I could recover it for you if you want.

The plan would be to make a nice French stitched and padded cover to fit over the center part. Much like the limited edition 3 spoke wheel that came on some early 928. If it was mine, I would also engrave a crest in the middle of that cover, but leave the padding off just over the horn button. So the horn functions would be undisturbed.

Roger as one of those early LE wheels. He might have showed it to you. It's a good looking wheel.

Paul
