Heinrich, have you had hafendumpfnodeln? They look like little torque-convertors, too... and they make your belly bigger than your left calf. Maybe trade the kilt for a muu-muu... ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Having done the opposite of what Rog is talking about here, I hafta go along with "he must be crazy" crowd. I wouldn't go back to a slushbox, even for gugelhupfs!

The real problem Roger has with the 5 speed is he has two left feet so he's always confused when trying to tell the difference between the clutch and the brake.
BUT, Roger is a true friend so Rog, I'll fire up the welder to do the floor pan change and be right along side you during the entire conversion.

Roger is way ahead of any of us. He's secretly been driving a fuel-efficient 944 n/a engine around under the hood of one of his beasts. Made me promise not to tell. oops ...

Roger is just being proactive. He read that the D/FW area is now the 4th largest metro area and it's population is projected to double in the next fifty years. Think of how much money he'll save by not replacing throw-out bearings burned up in freeway gridlock. In 2056 Roger will be sitting in comfort on I-30 while you manual shifters will be rubbing your sore left knee in envy. Way to go Roger!

An Indy driver once commented on the manual vs. auto debate:
"If you want the "ease of driving" experience you get an automatic. If you want the "total control" experience you get a manual. I have an automatic in my personal luxury car because I want the car to do most of the work but on the track I want all the control so it's a manual."
Just my 2 cents worth.

ROG,
I just purchased my first 50 caliber sniper rifle. can I test about 5 of the 5 speed boxes? I want to see just how much damage armor piercing ammo will do to cheap german metal.
