Default I have a dumb question about lugnuts...

Hi All,

I have a dumb question about lugnuts...

I think it is standard to have four regular nuts and one nut with a hole on each wheel...

is the nut with a hole for wheel balance? Which stud does it go on... the one nearest the air valve?

Thanks,

LO

From what I understand one stud that is painted red at the dealer, and the locking lug nut goes on the red stud. I also think that the locking lug nut should go on the opposite side of the valve stem. I am not 100% sure though, I have red studs but not locking lug nuts to match.

The nut with a hole is for a locking lugnut. At some point, the locking covers on yours have disappeared.
