Default PorKen's timing tools - mid August

I'm taking my summer break from computer work, and will be doing construction for a month starting 7/17. I've been putting off requests for my timing tools and conversions while waiting to hear when this big job would start. I'll have proper time after the job for handling the laser shop and sourcing.

I'm thinking of changing the 32V indicator, so that it can be used at 0°, 20°, 45°, and maybe also 180°, and 200° (cyl#6), so I may have to protoype that. I will also be prototyping the PorKensioner, which I will have cut at the same time.

The couple of folks who have already given me a deposit will get the first kits available. I will not have time for liftbars either, but I do have a couple of S4 types already made that I can ship. See separate thread.

I wish I had more time for 928 fixin', but as Honey Bunny likes to remind me, it's a 'hobby'.

This one I reckon, if you want to express interest.

I don't think I'll be changing the 16V conversion, except for the 'clamp ring' which both kits use.

Nice tool and instructions!

Two things that you may want to add to your instructions.

1. Remove battery ground strap (safety).
2. Remove spark plugs (easier to control crank movement).

Where's your car? My wife says it's my mistress. Better get Porken's tool in case you need it. I have one and have not yet used it.

what will the cost be for these items? (16v timing tool, 32v timing tool, and PorKensioner) Or did I miss that in another thread?

OK, consider it 'expressed'. Let me know when you're back to them. I'll keep my eyes open for the 32V gears, can't afford new given other stuff pending.

I do have two questions that I didn't see addressed in the other threads- do you have any testing results from different settings of the cam timing?

My recollection from my Pontiac days is that it tends to just shift the existing output curves higher or lower on the rpm range, typically without great effect on output. So I'm tinking 2-4* advance to lower the powerband a bit on my 83 Euro (which isn't tracked).

Have you tested the range of adjustment on a high-compression Euro motor to ensure no interference between pistons and valves?
