Default That does this console relay do?

I'm installing a new radio and am trying to edit out all of the old previous owners wiring - it's a ton. I found this relay which I don't believe is hooked up to anything, but I also can't discover what it is intended to do. I "think" it might have been for the original amp, which is no longer there.

Can someone help me?

While we're at it, what are the two red indicator lights (that are disconnected) on either side of the clock for? They were apparently hooked into this relay as well.

Thanks
Rod

Maybe for a radar detector??? I had two small LED's in my pod that were linked to the detectors in the front and rear of the car. It had a rats nest of wires all over the place, still pulling bits out.

I don't "think" so, I tried hooking them back up to the relay, it looks like they were originally there, but if I do, it doesn't want to start, which might explain why they are disconnected. The lights are original, I believe. I just bought an owners manual on ebay, so maybe I will know when it arrives.

Maybe for the dummy buzzer? Just a SWAG.

well unless you can trace wires you may never know. That is just a basic relay. It could have turned on an amp, ran a fuel pump, or locked doors...

My guess is that the relay and LED's are part of a (useless) aftermarket alarm. I pulled about 8 of those relays out of my car when I first got it and exorcised the Viper alarm in it. I still have them, figure they will come in handy for something someday.

You beat me to it. I've had similar setup in a couple of my car acquisitions.
