Not only for their utility for tuning but also as an educational/learning device for many.
His clone of the 928 Hammer version (Spanner) has also been well received. I wish, though,
he would incorporate the Rennlist "posted" 964/993 diagnostic software, as those
guys are clamoring for a tester & would surely buy it versus having to make one
themselves. Hopefully, there's no copyright problem with Porsche.

Hello Loren,
Thanks for your kind remarks. I am not sure it would be a commercial proposition to adapt my Spanner for the 964 diagnostic work that has been done by others. It would need someone prepared to write software for the ATmega 128 virtually FOC to make it worthwhile. As you have told me some time ago, there is a limited market.
The SharkTuner was only possible because Niklas has written software in his own time.
I would be prepared to work with the people from the 964 group if they are interested. The Spanner has the necsessary K and L line data interfaces already for "hammer" like diagnostics.

Your product is essentially "there", but those guys with their "egos" and DIY natures
AND inverted value systems, i.e. time has no value, may be the main obstacles.
What they have now works, but is rather "Mickey Mouse" and is prone to possibly
damage ECUs if not built and connected properly.
Why "re-invent the wheel", when the Spanner exists?
Hopefully, everyone will benefit a from mutual interaction.
