Anybody know Autobahn Motors in Delray Beach, Fl
Hi all,
My wife and are looking to buy a car from Autobahn Motors in Delray Beach, FL and I'm wondering if any of you have ever heard of them or dealt with them. Reason I ask is they want $10,000 wired to their account before we get a chance to look at the car. We are concerned if it isn't what they say it is the money is history.
928 content: The black GTS may be for sale in the next six months (too many cars around here)......

Florida is the 'take your money and run' state when it comes to auto dealers.
The kit car industry gave it this reputation, and this sounds like their style of deal - I had one yesterday tell me to wire $2k, pay $x a month, and in 2 years they would ship the car, problem was that same company went bankrupt twice and re-appeared under new names each time.
Contact the Better Business Bureau or Secretary of States office and check for any previous problems - prior business names, etc.
It wasn't a Cobra by any chance?
PM me and i'll tell you who I was talking to.

Chuck-
$10k wired to their account before they will let you look at the car? That's not a good sign.
NO, I know nothing of this group, but that also means nothing. Listen: I'm not sure what they are trying to sell you, but you know...airline tickets aren't that expensive, and if you have a fuel-efficient car sitting around then why not drive down to Delray [half way between Fort Liquordale and West Palm Bitch] and inspect it in person. I doubt anyone here has any knowledge of that shop; There are literally thousands of industrial parks in south Florida, and most of them have dozens of shops that cater to automobiles. Most are just rednecks trying to do bodywork, or Puerto Ricans trying to make Honda's faster. Generally, they don't succeed~
-You know better than to mess around with trash like this.
