Default 79' clutch pedal slow to return

1979 5 sp. My clutch pedal is slow to return @ 5000-6000 rpm, shifting from 3rd to 4th only. It returns perfect in all other conditions. Anyone have any Ideas to what the problem is?
Central shaft, disks, pilot bearing, and clutch arm bushing replaced last year(4000 miles) ago.

Hi does the pressure relieving spring need to be readjusted is the clutch push rod adjusted correctly? Possibe that carpet is rubbing or the clutch pedal is getting ready to break off of the pivot, is the clutch master cylinder leaking, just a few thoughts . Look up under the dashboard see what going on

Thanks Mrmerlin, I'll check those things under the dash today. I did also change the slave cylinder last fall as well. When I took the old slave apart the piston was ground down on one side, like it was traveling **** eyed throuh the cylinder. I'm wondering if that is happening again, and the push rod, lower bell housing clutch arm is not aligned(maybe bent push rod?)
Thanks again for the info.

Ive bled my clutch slave several times, pushed the plunger back in as well, and i still have a pedal that doesnt come back all the way. works ok, but i have to pull it back with the top of my foot, during races! kind of bad. I bet it is the master cylinder.

The only time it dosent come back solid all the way is high rpm shifts. and even then it comes back solid just slower to the point @ witch the overcenter action of the spring starts to assist the travel back.
Mark my clutch would not return all the way @ any given time untill the slave really packed it in and it would never come all the way back. The piston was getting stuck in the slave cylinder on the return action because it wasn't runing true in the cylinder.
