I stopped by the shop today to drop off a few more parts and take a few more pics. I had to order hood bolts and new hardware for the rocker covers which they tell me have to go on before the doors. I have become known as the friendly Porsche parts delivery man. Only the owner was there so most of the lights were off in the shop so the pics are a little dark but the color is closer to actual in these pics than in most of the previous ones. The next pics will be taken outside on the road! The hood bolts were backordered. Anybody got any spares?

"Do Not Touch!
Small Loose Parts
Stay Away!"
or something like that.

The car looks fantastic.

I live very nearby in north Alpharetta and may be a 928 owner soon.

I wish I saw more of this Project being done in person. I have been to Flashback several times, local Porsche shows, Rennsouth last year, etc....

Hope I see this car around town...maybe even at some Peachstate PCA events?

I did not know that there we so many of these 928's here locally.

It'll be back on the road soon and you should have many opportunities to see it in Alpharetta. We can often be found at El Porton Mexican restaurant on Sunday afternoon. There's none better. Are you going to Octoberfast in Daytona? I'm going to drive it there even if I have to drive without doors and a hood.

Mike:
I know El Porton (in Roswell), I guess there are a few others.
No...no Octoberfast...I won't have the car by then, but I may be driving the car I'm buying back from the Northwest in the middle of October.
I hope your car gets done soon...as I hope the one I'm buying works out (PPI, etc...).
See you around North Georgia?

Mike - by hood bolts do you mean the bolts that attach the hinge mechanism to the hood itself? I lost one on my 87 - i went to my friendly Home Depot and found an exact fit replacement. I am not home until Wed., but I can check what the size is then if you want if the backorder is going to take too long...

the bolts that attach the hood to the hinges are M8 x 20mm. You need 4.
