Angry Caution! www.9parts.com

I don't know if anyone else has used this outfit. But here's my recent experience. A couple of months ago I ordered a part for my '88 S4 auto. They shipped the wrong one. Their web site, which is fairly inclusive, explained how to return it, after getting an authorization via email. I requested one several times and received no answer. I then spoke by phone on four different occasions to their representatives (probably in some overseas call center). All of them quickly identified me and my order number and assured me they'd fix the problem. None did. I then used their chat line and "chatted" with four other representatives, who also assured me they'd handle the problem. None did. So, I'm stuck with a part that I don't need because the company that sold it to me won't recognize my attempt to return it. YMMV.

Neutral safety switch, p/n 000 545 490 6. According to PET it fits '83-86 four-speed.

Excuse the ignorance - what does "YMMV" mean?

The 9parts.com website looks like the typical type of parts seller that is actually linked to a huge company called Worldpac. They are a huge importer and warehouser of auto parts. Typically, these online parts companies are just websites-no brick and no mortar. When you order from one of them, the order goes right to Worldpac and they just dropship from one of their regional sites.

I would not make decisions based on a single post that was made 6 years ago.
