Default Window arriving soon...need replacement tips!

So I checked Nichols and searched the archives but havent found the answer. My window should arrive today unbroken (fingers crossed!) and I will be replacing it (pass side). Are there any gotchas or tips when reinstalling and aligning the window? Do I have to remove the trim? I will also completely remove the regulator and motor and clean and lube them. I also plan on finxing my drivers side. When I lower the window, it gets stuck about halfway. Its not a sharp stop, but kinda slows down and stops. At the same time it is slowing down, it seems that the door frame is being pushed out away from the window. I checked the WSM's too.

this is in relation to my earlier thread https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/282701-thank-you-to-the-a-hole-who-broke-my-window.html

and I am referring to the power windows.

No need to remove trim or outside window seal you will have to remove the inside lower window seal. Just grab it by the end and pull it out off of the lip. The window regulator does have to come out. The WSM have a good write-up on doing this. Before installing the window put tape across the large nuts on the outside of the window (they tend to fall out and I don't have 8" fingers to put them back).

To align, loosen the four window bolts and the 2 hex head bolts for the window rod, then roll the window all the way up, tighten all the bolts and see how the alignment is. I couldn't seem to get the window to align, then someone on the forum suggested replacing the window guides. With these replaced; the alignment was right on.

Two small pads that press against the window maybe your problem with the window slowing down or possibly debris in the regulator teeth.

If you have a rattle in the window when it is down it is likely the rubber bushing at the bottom of the window rod.

Hope this helps - have fun !!
