Default Sharktoberfest '06

Greetings,

Have the dates been posted yet for this year's Sharktoberfest ? I have been on the SOCAL 928 and the 928 International website, but have not found anything yet. I just want to have the dates to help plan any vacation days.

Thanks.

Rob

Shane,

Thank you very much. I have never been to it before (always other things popping up), so this year will be my first. I am really looking forward to it. I especially want to see where a lot of my money has gone to in the past (and future...) and give a big hand shake to the gang at 928 International.

I went last year but spent the weekend turning wrenches instead of socailizing. I want to go back and meet some more people.

Yes, it would be nice to stay out from under other people's hoods this time.

Rob: We will do a caravan if we can coordinate our travels, although the problem with that is Nicole thinks I-5 is the Autobahn, making for a scary trip.

Bill,

Just let her go ahead and be the rabbit... I'd rather save my insurance rates.

Yeah, on the way to OCIC in Denver, as I passed through friendly, peaceful Nevada, I was stopped by a Smokey Bear who asked if I knew that leadfoot redhead in a car like mine that had recently passed through but at too high a speed to catch. Of course I denied any knowlege of anyone fitting that description. So the bear said to have a nice day and sent me on my way; he even shared some stale donuts with me. Nice fellow.

For the non-believers, here is a quote from Nicole herself, posted on the SATL thread...
I wanted to break my record of 143, but it wasn't much fun with this vibration. It really felt like over 140 the car started "hopping", so I stepped off at 147. Gosh, I had hoped to experience a bit more of the 928s potential....
I find that last line very funny for some reason

Knowing Nicole's luck in finding stray 928's (and their owners along the way), by the time we get down to Anaheim there will be about 20 other 928's following her into the parking lot.

Nicoles car has been driven at higher speed by a person that she refers to as a Swedish race car driver.. I kept missing him when I visited her..
