Default New Products at Hooked On Cars

In recent days I added a number of new products to my store, and thought you might be interested in learning what's available. So here it goes:

1. Clear US Side Marker Lenses

I have a limited supply of very clear, high quality German lenses in stock; more to arrive shortly. They come with detailed instructions (thanks to Keith Widom) on how to convert the existing side marker lights. This kit is $59.98, including detailed instructions in color.

Alternatively, I have three sets of inexpensive Canadian marker lenses that I'm offering at an attractive price. Those are not as smooth and shiny, but are acceptable for a daily driver that is exposed to the usual road debris. $38/pair.

2. Euro Fog Light Trim Conversion Kit for S4, GT, GTS

This kit provides all parts and instructions to replace the black bumpers between fog and turn signal lights with the clear pieces found on the Euro models. Instructions are step-by-step over four pages, with lots of detailed photographs printed in COLOR. Conversion time is approximiately 2 hours per side - probably less for experienced wrenchers. The kit is $49.98.

3. Porsche Script Lettering

Get the GTS lettering style for your type designation. Listed in my store in black, but also available in red, silver, and chrome (special order). Letters are $7/each:

4. We have a new oil filler cap in billet aluminum ($99; also available in Bronze for $114)

5. I now carry the Jager Leather and Leatherette dash and pod covers:

6. This is one of my personal favorites: A new interior trim kit that gives you the Porsche Exclusive OEM look at a fraction of the original price ($399 for authentic wood or carbon; $359 for synthetic woods or brushed aluminum).

In Denver we compared it to the original pieces in Gary Knox' GTS, and many attendees said they'd prefer the kit I had on display. Gary's wood had cracks in the finish, which cannot happen with our non-yellowing polyurethane coating.

Available in a variety of autentic and synthetic woods, carbon fiber, or metal:

The kit pictured is in authentic African Rosewood, and combines perfectly with the mahogany manual and automatic shifters, which I will list shortly.

Also, we now have a trim piece for the rear AC, which not only looks great but also helps protect the louvers of the rear AC.

7. Classic T-Handle Automatic Sifter Replacements ($59) in black, blue or brown leather, or synthetic burl.

Lastly, I want to point out a products that seems to go largely unnoticed:

- We have a restoration kit for the windshield trim ($21) - If you have rock chips or faded paint, our kit not only restores the look but also protects your trim from further damage. It is the same hi-tech material we offer for the rear quarter window trim - a high tech, super thin tape that won't come off and won't chip:

Right on Nicole. There are some very nice things that you are carrying. I will be in touch on some items that I would like to pick up. You are no doubt becoming an important part of the 928 "goodies" club!

Nicole,

When I went to order the overlays I wanted to purchase from you but I prefer transactions via credit card. Any chance you'll have this set up or did I miss it?

The only way to accept credit cards at the moment is through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, it allows you to enter your credit card without requiring you to set-up a PayPal account.

Alternatively, you can send me a check or money order. I've even had people send me cash in the mail, even though that was at their own risk...

PM me, if you want to make special payment arrangements!

I have a few additional items I'll need and I will PM you when ready. I have a Paypal acct but it's been a couple of years since I used it. I can't even remember the passwords, I'll have set it up again.

BTW I ended up getting the overlays from Jager, actually it was a fathers day gift from my son.

Unfortunately I have to take care of some mechanical issues first before I add some interior extras, but I really like the wood door panel inserts with leather. When I changed my interior, I was never happy with the color of my door inserts. I'm sure I'll be ordering some things before too long.

I have a question also about the defroster vent plates: do they just drop in or do they have to be stuck down? Nothing wrong with my own dash, I just like the look of them.

Defroster vent plates come in pairs. Qty 1 means one pair.

These are polyurethane composite pieces with a strong adhesive backing from 3M (Same as trim tape). They cover cracks between the vents or short cracks from the vents into the dash.

They come standard in black, but we can order them in pretty much any interior trim material, including synthetic or authentic woods, or carbon.

The picture below was provided by Ed Meier and shows the vent covers in carbon fiber.

Nicole, do you have the lettering to replace the old 'stick ons' on the back of my 81 OB?
Each of the letters or PORSCHE is starting to peel off.
Yea, really, after 25 years, can you believe that!

Yes, I do have them - I just don't have a picture of them on an "OB" (sorry, I hate that expression "old bugger"), so many visitors of my site miss them. Hopefully some customer will send me a pic some day - I sold quite a few of these at recent events.

I have them in stock in red, silver, chrome, and black is coming again. But we can special order them in a variety of other colors, including blue, yellow, bronze, carbon-look, etc.
