Idiot light...coolant
After re and reing the engine, everything is tickety boo and the only minor glitch is we can't get the coolant dash lite to disappear. The coolant level is correct and the temp guage reads just over the first white line, so i don't think the warning is real. I have pulled the wire off of the coolant overflow tank, thinking that would turn it off, but no luck. Any suggestions?

I assume you mean the coolant low light - not coolant temperature, right?
I think pulling it off will actually cause the light. It might be the float inside.
BTW, is "tickety boo" a technical term?

Yah, tickety-boo is the same as good to go, or bob's yer uncle, or the reason Scotchmen wear a kilt.....sheep are scared off by the sound of a zipper

Hi you may have to replace the sender, I had similar problems , a new sender cured the light, old one was corroded inside the sender shaft, also check the wire connection it likes to corrode as well from water dripping onto the top of the res bottle

Check your pressure switch. Follow one of the two lines that comes off the tank and runs fwd. You will find a plastic sensor placed in line that has two wires on it.
