not really. there is no sacrafice for max torque with the euros vs the 83US.
it mainly due to the cams and intake and valve sizes. the engine breaths better . low end torque is still higher, usually much higher. The only thing a euro will sacrafice compared to an S4 or 85S, would be the peak torque values, and the lower driveabiltiy torque down in the 3k to 3500rpm range. after that, most all the HP curves are about the same shape, with peaks near 5800rpm.

? I hope this ? doesn't offend anyone. I see a lot of the euro vs GT vs S4 vs S3 vs S2 etc. What I don't see is a lot of GTS vs ___. I have been very suprised at the dyno #'s I have seen from GTS's. Most all of them seem low. The GTS was supposed to run a 13.7 1/4 but I just don't see it. It ssems that Porsche was conservative with there advertised #'s until the GTS. Before anyone attacks me search for some GTS dyno #'s then some S4 & GT's.
This is not a GTS bashing post. I am just curious about the #'s.

Well, to end all debate.

There is a pristine GTS Euro here in Dallas. All I can say is WOW, and I've not even seen it pushed hard. I am hoping for that day.

Depends , are we talking Honda Namebadge or Origin?
I have a Honda that likes to run....

For the record, I do have a 928, so I won't get completely fried.

Beware of the innocent looking Honda. The bolt ons for the 'Ricer' clan make it possible to get 400 to 500 whp without a bucket load of $$. Going to a local dyno shop (Speed Freaks) in our area is always a humbling experience and reminds me that you can get your butt kicked by most anything anymore. Add twisties and the equation changes a lot

Tim,
Here are some factory numbers https://www.928gt.com/default1.htm

A lot of people don't think white does the 928 justice but I love it. Of course I wasn't crazy about red until I owned one now I love it too.
