Default Door safety light

Hi All,

Hopefully this is a quick question. ;-)

I have an 85 928S and the door safety light on the drivers side is out.
Is there a quick way to replace the bulb, or do I need to pull the door
panel insert off to get inside the door (which I might have to do anyway
if it isn't the bulb). I can't seem to find any info anywhere on this.

Thanks!!!

Regards,
BL

Quick search of the forum gives me my answer: looks like I should be able to get the lens to pop off - will give it a try.

Thanks!

Yep just pry it out gently - straight back out of the door... don't wiggle it side to side too much - they get a little brittle after all that time..

Just pull the whole thing out. Use a clothes pin to hold the wires from being lost inside the door.

The bulb holder slides out the back of the fixture making it easier to replace the bulb than by removing the lense.

But if you don't want to remove the fixture, you can use a sticky note to twist the bulb free from the outside.
